Music & Movement: 18mo – 3 years

This is a very special weekly 30-minute class for you and your child (we lovingly refer to this exciting age group as our Tiny Tots!).

In this parent-participation class, we aim for creative movement in a relaxed, small group setting. Designed to introduce your little one to a dance environment led by our qualified and experienced dance teacher. Classes run for the duration of normal school terms (four terms per year).
Maximum 15 Tiny Tots per class.
Parents/grandparents/important people in your child’s life are invited to an informal end of year in-class presentation (no concert/stage performance in this age group).

Requirements for this class:
Parent/guardian is required to stay with their little one for the duration of this class. Comfortable clothing and well fitting soft pink ballet flats for your child are recommended.

Introduction to stage performance! A gentle progression from our Music & Movement classes, the focus in this weekly 30-minute class is still on creative movement over perfect technique. Excitingly, Kindy Kids are gently introduced to on-stage performance, appearing in two simple dances at the NTD end of year concert (our whole school end of year showcase is performed twice on same day in November each year).

A lilting style of dance that uses the ballet technique. The word ‘lyrical’ here refers to a lilting, poetic feel associated with movements which focus on the expression of strong emotion. We teach Lyrical Ballet to students from the age of 10 (see Junior Ballet class times).
